As part of a major refinery modernization and capacity expansion program (with increasing capacity from 8.33 to 15 MMTPA), the client required structural analysis for an aviation turbine fuel (ATF) electrostatic coalescer system. The objective was to engineer a robust support structure capable of safely carrying process equipment under multiple loading conditions, including operating, hydrotest, lifting, transportation, wind, seismic, and installation scenarios while complying with applicable international structural design codes and project specifications.

The engagement involved structural stress analysis, load path verification, connection and weld design, anchor bolt engineering, foundation load calculations, lifting lug validation, and multidisciplinary coordination with piping, equipment, and access systems. The project also required fabrication-ready detailing to ensure constructability, installation efficiency, and reliable long-term refinery operations.
